Indian 'Internet Predator' arrested in US

Washington, Jul 23: An Indian engineer has reportedly been arrested in United States for allegedly soliciting young girls for sex on the Internet.

30-year old Nityanand Gopalika who is in US on a work visa was arrested by police in Pennsylvania. He allegedly used internet chat room to approach a 13-year old girl from the Pittsburgh area, said the Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett.

The 13-year old girl was actually an undercover agent from Child Predator Unit. According to the criminal complaint lodged against him, he chatted with the girl over several days talking to her about sexual experience and describing the sex acts he wished to engage in.

He also faces charges for sending the girl two nude videos of himself in which he was masturbating in front of the computer.

He was arrested on Jul 1 when he arrived at a predetermined meeting location. The agents found laptop computers, a digital camera, a cell phone containing an incomplete text to the 'girl', along with a bag of condoms.
