Centre closely monitoring international oil pricing : Deora
New Delhi, July 23(ANI): Union Petroleum Minister Murli Deora on Thursday said that the Union Government is closely monitoring the oil price in the international market.
In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Deora stated, the government would take appropriate decisions with regard to the pricing of petroleum products to protect the interests of common citizens especially the weaker sections of society.
The government has taken several measures to ensure that the burden of international oil prices is not entirely passed on to the consumers, Deora said.
The government is taking every step to make sure that all stakeholders, including the upstream oil companies, public sector oil marketing companies and the consumers, would share the burden of pricing, Deora assured the House. (ANI)
