Another Delhi Metro mishap, one killed
Punjabi Bagh (New Delhi), July 22 (ANI): A labourer was killed when a beam fell on him at a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) construction site in Punjabi Bagh on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred at around 5:45 a.m. at Ashoka Park in Punjabi Bagh area.
"The labourer was guarding the beam when it hit his shoulder," said Anuj Dayal, DMRC chief public relations officer.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival, Dayal added.
This is the third accident in the last two weeks. On July 12, six persons were killed and 15 others injured when an under-construction DMRC flyover collapsed in Lajpat Nagar area in South Delhi.
A day after the incident, six persons were injured when a launcher turned upside down at the same site. (ANI)
