New Delhi, Jul 21: Amid expectations, expert predictions and excitement, India is all set to view the century's longest total solar eclipse on Wednesday, Jul 22 morning between 5:29 am and 7:29 am.
Bhavnagar, Surat, Ujjain, Indore, Bhopal, Sagar, Jabalpur, Varanasi, Allahabad, Gaya, Patna, Bhagalpur, Jalpaigudi, Guwahati and Dibrugarh will be the ones enjoying the best view of the eclipse as shadow of the eclipse will pass through them.
Apart from India, countries like Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and China will witness path of the Moon's umbral shadow, as the moon blocks the Sun.
However, the possibility of bad weather blocking the view has started to haunt the Indians. According to meteorological officials, weather may play spoilsport in several places including Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. China's Shanghai which is expected to experience the longest eclipse may also see bad weather.
Bad weather is not the only possibility that is being talked about. Astronomers have started making predictions based on the cosmic event. While some pundits expect a Tsunami others are predicting widespread violence across the world.
