Chinese village headman living in cave for 2yrs to construct road
New Delhi, July 21 (ANI): A Chinese village headman has been living in a cave for two years in an effort to get a road linking the village to the outside world constructed.
Yang Baolin, 49, deputy director of villagers' committee of Shuping village, an area in Zhen'an County, Shaanxi province, surrounded by hills, decided to build a 15-km road connecting the village with the main highway, reports the China Daily.
In 2007, Yang moved into a cave near the under-construction road so that he wouldn't have to travel a long distance to get to work everyday.
Yang and his team of villagers are still toiling hard to build the road, which they say has hit a roadblock due to shortage of funds. (ANI)
