Jinnah's portrait goes mysteriously missing from Pak PM house auditorium

Islamabad, July 19 (ANI): The portrait of Muhammad Ali Jinnah went mysteriously missing from the PM House auditorium just before Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani was to address the media there.

Officials at the auditorium were shocked when they found Jinnah's portrait missing from its place.

Jinnah's picture was hung in between the portraits of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and President Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, but as the 'father of the nation's' portrait went missing only a nail remained in between the two pictures.

Several television channel camerapersons were seen taking pictures of the wall with missing portrait, The Nation reports.

The portrait was finally restored on its place after a frantic search by the officials.

However, it is still unclear as to who had actually removed Jinnah's portrait.

It may be noted that some days ago a private television channel had reported that Jinnah's portrait is missing of from Prime Minister House, but it was strongly denied and rejected by the government at that time. (ANI)
