Clinton in Delhi on Sunday, to meet Indian leaders, talk about energy conservation
New Delhi, July 18 (ANI): Visiting US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will talk about energy conservation and cereal system initiatives soon after her arrival in the Indian capital from Mumbai on Sunday.
According to a Ministry of External Affairs release, Clinton will arrive in Delhi shortly before noon and will proceed to the ITC Green Building in Gurgoan, Haryana, where she will talk about the importance of energy conservation at a time when climate change is having a devastating impact in various parts of the world.
She will then visit the National Agricultural Science Centre of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), where she will talk about cereal system initiatives being undertaken by the United States and how best cooperation can take place in this sector.
On Sunday evening, she is scheduled to meet UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi at the latter's 10, Janpath residence.
On Monday morning, she will visit Delhi University to address Indian students at a function organised by the vice-chancellor of the institution.
Ameeting with the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, is scheduled for shortly after noon.
Clinton will meet Leader of Opposition, L.K.Advani at the latter's 30, Prithiviraj Road official residence.
In the evening, she will meet External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna at Hyderabad House. This will be followed by a signing of agreements and a brief interaction with the media.
Clinton will leave for Bangkok, Thailand on Tuesday morning. (ANI)
