UP police files chargesheet against Varun Gandhi

New Delhi, Jul 15: The Uttar Pradesh police have reportedly filed chargesheet against Varun Gandhi for making a hate speech while campaigning for the Lok Sabha Elections.

The 177-page long chargesheet, that comes after the state government cleared the way for Varun's prosecution, includes statements of 38 witnesses.

Earlier, a report from the Forensic Science Laboratory had confirmed that Varun's hate speech CDs were not tampered with.

The young politician who was contesting from Pilibhit soon came to be known as the poster boy of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He got into trouble for allegedly making a

inflammatory speech that promoted hatred on the religious grounds.
