Tharoor to lead Indian team at Lisbon meet
New Delhi, July 8 (ANI): Minister of State in the Ministry of External Affairs, Shashi Tharoor, will be leading the Indian delegation to the forthcoming Fifth Ministerial Meeting of the Community of Democracies to be held from July 11-12, 2009 in Lisbon.
India is a member of the Community of Democracies (CoD), a unique forum that brings together those nations committed to promoting and strengthening democracy worldwide.
During the meeting, the ministers will discuss key thematic concerns, including poverty, development and promotion of democractic governance. (ANI)
