Mumbai Court rejects Shiney Ahuja's bail plea

Mumbai, Jul 8: A sessions court in Mumbai has reportedly rejected the Bollywood actor, Shiney Ahuja's bail plea on Wednesday, Jul 8, after hearing the arguments from prosecution and defence counsel.

The court made this decision as the prosecution demanded for some more time to investigate the case and gather evidence. This was also strengthened with the argument that if bail was given to the actor, he may meddle with the case or even flee.

The Bollywood star's bail plea said that the rape charges against him were cooked up to malign his image. The defense council is silent on the recent development and according to sources the defense may be planning to file a case in the Supreme Court.
