South Carolina serial killer shot dead by police

Gaffney, Jul 7: The South Carolina Serial Killer who shoot five people to death was shot dead by the Police on Monday, Jul 6.

The 41-year-old who went on a killing spree and terrorised the community, was identified to be Patrik Burris. The police who dug up his records found that he had a criminal past which accounted for up to 25 pages of Police reports.

The police caught hold of him when a suspicious vehicle was reported on Monday, Jul 6 morning in Gastonia. The couple who reported him said that they could identify him based on the description the police had given them.

The Gaffney killing took place in six days across the area of 10-miles. After a peach farmer was shot dead on Jun 27, a 83-year-old woman and her daughter were found bound and shot four days later. After this, the killer got to a father and his teen daughter who were found shot in their furniture store.

The police who said that with the killer's death, 54,000 people across the 50 miles west of Charlotte NC can calm their fears. The investigation is not yet over, the police are trying to find the motives for the crimes.
