Pranab Mukherjee to present general budget today

New Delhi, July 6 (ANI): Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will present the first general budget at 11am today in Lok Sabha.

This is the first general budget of the UPA government after coming to power for second term.

Multi-national companies are keenly watching, what the budget would be offering them to invest in the country.

Pranab Mukherjee is presenting budget as a Finance Minister nearly after 25 years. He was handling this ministry during Indira Gandhi's tenure.

Rationalisation of taxes while not doing away totally with the subsidies will be Pranab's biggest challenge

Pranab has already hinted that his budget will be "Aam Aadmi" centric. (ANI)
