MJ's public memorial to be held on Jul 7

Los Angeles, Jul 3: Michael Jackson's concert promoter, Randy Phillips said that a free public memorial for Michael Jackson will be held on Tuesday, Jul 7 at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Jul 7.

Philips said, "The service will begin at Los Angeles, 10:00 am at the 20,000-capacity in Staples Centre with live images screened on wide screen televisions for an overflow crowd expected to gather in the plaza outside the huge basketball stadium and convention centre."

"Details are still to be finalized when I meet with the Jackson family this afternoon. Everything is in preliminary stages except the place and time," he added.
