New Delhi, Jun 30: Uma Bharati, former leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday, Jun 30 said that she was not apologetic and will not apologise about the Babri Majid demolition incident that occurred 17 years ago.
Bharati said, "What happened on Dec 6, 1992 was because of the provocation of the Kar Sewaks, who were more than 5 lakh gathered."
Bharati was reacting to the Justice M S Liberhan submitting its report to the Prime Minister on Tuesday, Jun 30.
She also said, "I have given my full version to the Liberhan commission. I definitely wanted Ram temple to come up and I definitely wanted that building to come down but not in that manner. But I am not apologetic and I am not going to apologise. I am ready to be hanged for it."
