Two more Indians suffer assault in Oz

Sydney, Jun 28: Two Australian teenagers in Central Sydney reportedly attacked two Indians on Saturday Jun 27.

A television channel report said that the police were called in at 04:00 am on Sunday, Jun 28. They were told that the two Australian teenagers struck the two Indian friends on their heads with glass beer bottles.

The Indians, both aged 20, were taken to a Sydney hospital where they were treated for bruising and minor lacerations, before being discharged.

The police have arrested the two Australian youngsters after a short foot pursuit. The accused, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old were both charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm in company of others at Sydney's City Central Police Station.

A number of items have been seized for forensic examination. Police also spoke with a number of witnesses. They will now appear in court on July 20.
