PML-Q blames India for Baloch trouble
Islamabad, June 25 (ANI): The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has blamed India for creating trouble in Balochistan and trying to destabilize the region for its own benefit.
Terming Balochistan as an 'active volcano', Hussain blamed India for harboring terrorism in the restive regions of Pakistan.
In an interview with The Nation, Hussain urged the Pakistan government to raise the issue of India's involvement in terror activities in Balochistan and the Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA) with the United Nations.
He also criticized the PPP led government's failure to address the issue.
"The government has failed to plead the case at international forum. When India can approach to UN on Mumbai attacks, why Pakistan can't plead the case of India's support to miscreants in Balochistan and Fata there," Hussain said.
He stressed that the problem in Balochistan would not be solved using military means, as it is purely a political issue.
"The issue of Balochistan is purely political and there is no option of using force to resolve the crisis," he added.
Hussain said that Balochistan must not be politically victimized, and urged the government to provide special funds to the province so that the leaders could inititate development schemes in the region for redressing people's sufferings at grassroots level. (ANI)
