Zadari calls up Angelina Jolie to thank her

Islamabad, Jun 23: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari reportedly called up Angelina Jolie to thank her for donating a million dollars for the people displaced in the Swat Valley as the battle against Taliban continues in the embattled North Western Frontier Province (NWFP) of the country.

Zardari who made the call on Monday, Jun 22 to thank Jolie and her husband Brad Pitt who jointly run the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, also invited them to visit Pakistan.

The Hollywood actress has been a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commission on Refugees since 2001. For this year's World Refugee Day the couple donated a hefty sum of one million dollars to aid displaced people in Pakistan.
