India Inc created 3 lakh jobs in United States
Washington, Jun 19: A study released by the India Brand Equity Foundation found that corporate India has created employment for 3,00,000 people in the United States between 2004 and 2007. This study came at the time when Indian outsourcing industry is being blamed of snatching American jobs.
The study released in Washington on Wednesday, Jun 18 by India's Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma also mention about $105 billion contribution made by the Indian industry to the US economy during 2004-07. "This revealed a story of commitment to optimise and to invest in the future of the relationship," Sharma said.
Earlier even the American President had asked the US companies in India to move from 'Bangalore to Buffalo'. Since then Indian industry has been trying to lobby with influential Americans and opinion leaders about the profit that US can derive from developing economies.
