Vienna Shootout: Seventh suspect detained

Vienna, Jun 16: The Austrian Police on Monday, Jun 16 arrested the seventh suspect in relation to the Vienna Shootout that took place on May 24. The 26-year old Amritpal Singh's arrest took place when the Austrian police raided his apartment while investigating the incident.

“The arrested Indian fired at Wega and Cobra special forces officers, who searched nine flats and houses today," Vienna police spokesman Michael Takacs said.

The officers were investigating the incident that took the life of the Dera Sachkhand Ballan chief, Sant Rama Nand.

The six suspects who have been arrested were detained immediately after the incident.
