Sydney emerges as world's friendliest city in online survey
Melbourne, June 16 (ANI): A global on-line survey has revealed that Sydney is the world's friendliest city.
The harbour city's cleanliness, aesthetic qualities, climate, and affordable accommodation won it the top spot.
Conducted by Anholt-GfK Roper City Brands Index, the survey involved 50 cities.
The surveyors analysed interviews with 10,000 adults from 20 major developed and developing countries.
According to News.com.au, their purpose was to capture consumer perception of the image and reputation of 50 major cities worldwide.
A look at the overall rankings shows that Sydney finished second behind Paris, pipping tourist cities like London, Rome and New York-which filled out the top five.
Sydney topped three of the six categories and finished third behind London and New York as a good place to do business, find a job and go to school.
However, despite the creation of new lively festivals as Vivid Sydney, the city ranked lowly in the pulse brand category for interesting events, activities and lifestyles. (ANI)
