Mumbai High Court quashes Raj Thackeray's bail, asks him to surrender
Mumbai, June 16(ANI): In what can be termed as a major judgement, Bombay High Court, set aside the bail granted to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray by a lower court and asked him to surrender before a Railway court in Kalyan on June 29.
Thakray is facing charges of fanning hate against north Indians. MNS activists attacked north Indian candidates appearing for railway examinations last October.
Special Public Prosecutor Amit Desai said "The High Court has set aside bail granted to him by the Kalyan Magistrate's Court, as well as the anticipatory bail given by Kalyan Sessions Court."He has been asked to surrender on June 29 before the railway Magistrate's Court, as the Railway Police had sought his custody."(ANI
