The 'smarty pants' bank customer who stole cell phone but forgot his cash!

New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): A bank customer may have become the butt of everyone's jokes after he stole someone's cell phone resting on the counter, but left without taking his 1,462 dollars with him.

The cell phone owner informed the police, and the mugger was later identified as a certain Liu.

The bank's surveillance footage helped cops identify the thief.

As Liu went back to the bank in Tianjin municipality to collect his money, he found police awaiting his arrival, reports the China Daily.

Liu was reprimanded and later released. (ANI)
