Tourists throng for adventure sports at Rohtang Pass

Rohtang (Himachal Pradesh), June 14 (ANI): A large number of tourists and enthusiasts of adventure sports are heading towards Rohtang, the skiing hill resort in Himachal Pradesh to enjoy their summer holidays.

Apart from skiing, there are several other events such as snow biking, sled rides, pony and yak rides and mountain biking luring the tourists.

"I am really feeling wonderful. What to say, there are mountains and snow all around here which is fascinating. I have enjoyed skiing, rides on yaks and snow scooters," opined Jitender, a tourist.

With temperature increasing in the plains, this number seems to be on the rise with each passing day.

Especially for the lovers of adventure sports, Rohtang Pass is kept open from the mid-May and this tourist season usually prolongs till the end of June.

A tourist shared his thoughts by terming the experience as different and thrilling.

"After coming to Rohtang, I feel really good. It's a fantastic place. I think everyone should try out adventure sports at least once in a lifetime," said Ashish, another tourist from New Delhi. (ANI)
