MI5 now recruiting teachers as spies
London, June 13 (ANI): British intelligence agency MI5 is recruiting teachers for jobs as spies.
An advertisement placed by the agency tells school staff teachers that they have the skills that a spook requires.
"You may not realise it but life has given you the skills you need to be an MI5 Operational Officer," Sky News quoted the ad published in the Times Educational Supplement as reading.
"Your experience of dealing with people means you can build trust and relationships with all sorts of individuals, which makes you the ideal candidate for developing a career securing the information we need to protect national security," it adds.
Those recruited would be given 35,425 pounds in salary, similar to what an experienced teacher earns.
MI5 placed the new ad just days after it had advertised for the position of chief scientific adviser.
Candidates were said to need world-class scientific expertise and credibility, excellent strategic skills and outstanding influencing and communication skills. (ANI)
