Boyfriend pushes girl off Charminar

Hyderabad, Jun 12: An 18-yr-old girl was allegedly pushed from the first floor of the historical Charminar by her boyfriend on Thursday, Jun 11. She is now in a critical condition and is battling for life at the Osmania General Hospital.

Sameera of Talabkatta suffered critical injuries. Police said that Sameera and her boyfriend, Arshad also of Talabkatta, went to the monument on Thursday, June 11 evening. Around 4.45 pm, Arshad allegedly pushed her from the first floor of the Charminar facing the Sadar Mahal side and fled.

Sameera was rushed to hospital. In her statement to the police she said that Arshad pushed her off the monument. Prior to the incident, the couple had spend about an hour on the first floor. Later the security guards asked them to move from the place. Police are now trying to locate the house of Sameera.
