Pak tailor sued for not sewing client"s clothes on time
Islamabad, Jun 11 (ANI): A tailor was served with a notice by Lahore Consumer Court Registrar Asif Nazeer after he failed to complete the stitching of a client's clothes before the stipulated time.
The tailor, based in Ichhra, was issued the notice by the registrar on the complaint of Muhammad Jamal, who moved the court on behalf of his sister, reports the Daily Times.
As per Jamal, his sister had given her clothes for stitching to tailor Asim Muneer, who had demanded Rs. 2,000 for stitching the clothes in 15 days, and he was paid Rs. 1,500 in advance.
However, the clothes were not returned on time.
Jamal said that his sister could not wear the clothes to a marriage function for which she had purchased them.
He asked the court to direct the respondent to pay Rs. 50,000 in damages, in addition to returning the stitching charges paid by the woman. (ANI)
