Chidambaram, Omar discuss JK security issues

Srinagar, Jun 11: P Chidambaram, Union home minister on his two-day visit to Jammu Kashmir on Thursday, Jun 11 discussed security issues and progress of development with Omar Abdullah, chief minister of Jammu Kashmir.

Official sources said that Chidambaram will make an on-the-spot assessment of security situation in the state. He will also meet the Unified Command to review law and order and militancy situation.

Chidambaram in his first visit to Jammu Kashmir will take stock of reports of infiltration that has taken place in the state from the army officials including the top-brass of Srinagar-based 15 Corps.
