Best job winner missing summer in UK
London, Jun 11: 'Best job in the world' winner Ben Southall, who's set to begin his tryst in Hamilton island, says he'll miss the British summer and its festivities.
"Despite the weather, I love summer in Britain, the festivals and outdoor activities," the Sun quoted him as saying. He added, "I'll miss the long days we have. The island may boast a tropical climate but it gets dark at 8pm."
A charity worker, Southall emerged victorious among more than 34,000 hopefuls for a six-month post as caretaker of Hamilton Island off Queensland, Australia.
He said he would pine for Sunday dinners, adding, "It will be far too hot to cook anything like that."
