Union urges pilots to boycott faulty A330 airbuses

Paris, Jun 10: Moved by the claims that the Air France Flight AF 447 crashed due to faulty speed sensors, the pilots' union on Tuesday, Jun 9 has urged the crew to boycott the A330 airbuses. Air France is now taking steps to replace the speed sensors on its A330 Airbuses.

"To prevent a repeat of this disaster we call on flight deck and cabin crew to refuse flights aboard the A330 and A340 series which have not been modified," said a union called Alter

Alter which is a union to which ten per cent of the airline's crew belong in a memo posted on its website condemned Air France for deciding not to ground the fleet of 15 A330 planes.
