Air France flight 447's tail recovered

Recife, (Brazil), Jun 9: The tail section of the crashed Air France Flight 447 was found on Monday, Jun 8 by the Brazilian searchers. It is one of the biggest pieces so far recovered, which could help narrow the search for Flight 447's black boxes.

Reports suggest that US Navy team is bringing in high-tech underwater listening devices to detect pings from the data and voice recorders. Meanwhile the Brazilian authorities said that the number of bodies recovered rose to 24. 8 more bodies were found on Monday, Jun 8 by the Brazilian Navy and Air Force said in the northeastern city of Recife.

Most of the wreckage has been found bobbing in the Atlantic Ocean. Brazil does not have the means of locating underwater debris. According to Pentagon, the US Navy devices that are sent to Brazil can detect emergency beacons to a a depth of 20,000 feet (6,100 meters). It can be used by the Brazilian ships to listen for transmission from the black boxes, which are programmed to emit signals for atleast 30 days.
