US-Indonesian model says she was raped, tortured by Malaysian prince husband

New Delhi, Jun 5 (ANI): A US-Indonesian model has revealed that she was raped, tortured and treated like a sex slave by her Malaysian prince husband.

Manohara Odelia Pinot, 17, has revealed that after her marriage last year, her husband Tengku Temenggong Mohammad Fakhry, the Prince of Kelantan State, started abusing her, reports the China Daily.

But Malaysian royals have described the allegations by the teenage model as "a private affair" between the couple.

Pinot managed to escape the prince's guards at a Singapore hotel, and returned to her family in Indonesia, where she revealed the ordeal she went through at the hands of the prince.

The teenager, whose fairy-tale wedding to a prince captured the imagination of Indonesia, said that she would be tortured if she did not appear to be happy when she attended social functions with Fakhry.

Her lawyer, Yuri Darmas, said that his client would have a medical examination to back up her allegations of abuse, adding that he intended to pursue criminal and civil lawsuits against the prince.

Pinot's mother revealed that the young girl had already filed for divorce. (ANI)
