Nitish puts blame on Lalu for torching incident
Patna, June 2(ANI): Following the incidents of torching of trains in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday had a verbal duel with former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and accused his decision of introducing numerous halts in the state as the main reason behind the violence.
"The Railways, in the previous government, functioned in Lalu's style. The RJD leader, through oral orders created these halts without the nod of the Railway Board. By creating several halts without ensuring permission, Prasad has put present Railway Minister (Mamata Banerjee) in the dock", Nitish Kumar said.
Earlier, Lalu Prasad targeted the Chief Minister and blamed him for not being able to handle the law and order in the state.
"Nitish should have handled the issue. He should have visualised that such things could happen. His officers should have been cautious. It's the responsibility of the state's rail police to take care of these attacks," Lalu Prasad Yadav said. (ANI)
