Army Chief visits Chile

New Delhi, June 1 (ANI): Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor will begin his four-day visit to Chile from today.

During his official visit, General Kapoor will interact with senior military and civilian defence officials and discuss various contemporary defence related issues.

He will also visit important training institutions and will address the Chilean Education and Doctrine Command.

The visit by the Army Chief coincides with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Chile.

Chile was one of the first few countries in Latin America with whom India established diplomatic relations.

A number of bilateral agreements have been signed between the two countries in the recent past in diverse fields, including the defence cooperation. (ANI)
