Fierce battle in Colombia, 14 dead
Bogota, May 31: Atleast 14 people killed in a fierce battle between the Colombian military and Marxist guerrillas. The military said that only very few details were known about the fierce fighting in La Marcarena National Park in the Southern Colombian jungle. It also said that five soldiers and five rebels were killed violently.
The military statement said that its task force Omega is been fighting against Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) since 45years. The statement also labelled FARC has a 'terrorist orgainsation.' Further the FARC fighters attacked a court house in Gazon, southern province of Huila.
The rebels also stormed into a building, shooting to death of two court guards and a police officer. Even a government official was also abducted.
