North Korea test fires 2 additional missiles

Los Angeles, may 26: Yonhap, the South Korean news agency reported that the Democractic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) test fired two additional missiles off its east coast on Monday, May 25.

The launch came after the country fired a short-range missile off its east coast base around noon. North Korea earlier defying the international restrictions and warning had conducted its second nuclear test on Monday, May 26.

The DPRK's official news agency, KCNA, released a statement on the nuclear test, saying it was "part of the measures to bolster its nuclear deterrent for self-defense in every way, as requested by its scientists and technicians." The brief statement did not give any details of the test.

South Korean troops are on high alert after the tests.
