P Chidambaram takes charge as HM for 2nd time

New Delhi, May 25: P Chidambaram on Monday, May 25 took up charge as the Union Home Minister for the second term.

Chidambaram is among the most prominent cabinet ministers of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government led by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Chidambaram took over as the Home minister in Nov 2008 after Shivraj Patil resigned. P Chidambaram was a Finance Minister from May 2004 to Nov 2008.
