Nepal: Bomb blast in church kills 2, injures 15
Kathmandu, may 23: Just hours before the country was set to see the new Prime Minister, a bomb went off at a church in Kathmandu on Saturday, May 23 , killing two people and wounding 15.
Nepal holds masses on Saturdays as it is public holiday while Sundays are working days. The explosion took place in Church of the Assumption in the nation's capital. A 14-year-old girl and a 30-year-old woman are the two who have reportedly died in the blast. And the police have informed that the girl was identified as a high school student from Betiah town in India.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack and the police are investigating the attack.
However, an eyewitness said that said a bag which appeared to be filled with books was left lying on the floor. Someone moved the bag to make some space and it just exploded.
