26/11 attacks: India hands over more data to Pak
New Delhi, May 21: India has handed over new information in relation to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks to Pakistan on Wednesday, May 20.
The Indian external affairs ministry handed over details of the attacks sought by Islamabad to a diplomat of the Pakistan High Commission. The third dossier comprises of confessional statement of Azam Amir Kasav, the prime accused in the case whose trial is underway in India; along with the DNA samples of all the terrorists.
Pakistan has earlier complained that one of DNA samples was a duplicate. India acknowledged it as a 'clerical error' and agreed to send fresh samples.
This move effectively sends a message to Pakistan regarding the importance of this issue to India and also that prosecution of the perpetrators is awaited.
