Brit women cops ordered not to wear wired bras on duty
London, May 8 (ANI): Brit women cops have been ordered not to wear wired bras on duty, as such undergarments might prove to be dangerous in case the officers get shot.
A Home Office memo has cautioned that metal objects worn under protective armour can be driven into the body when an officer is hit.
"Body armour has to be close fitting and you should not wear underwired bras," the Sun quoted Julia Roper-Smith of the Police Federation as saying.
She added: "There is no such thing as a bullet-proof bra."
However, the news didn't go quite well with male cops.
A male officer in Maidstone, Kent, said: "I'll be sad to see the end of female officers in Wonderbras. They make my day." (ANI)
