Swine Flu: 2 techies quarantined in Bangalore

Bangalore, May 7: Two software professionals, who arrived at the Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) from the United States were quarantined for the suspected H1N1 influenza or popularly known as Swine flu on Thursday, May 7.

Shrinivasachari, the Health Commissioner said, "The two persons with suspected flu symptoms have been admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases here." The Institute is one of the 13 hospitals identified by the Karnataka government to takecare of the people with suspected flu symptoms.

So far about 19,000 international passengers have been screened at BIA and Mangalore airport for the H1N1 flu.
