CEC Navin Chawla's name deleted from voters list!
New Delhi, May 7: The name of Navin Chawla, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of India was reportedly deleted from the voters list giving him the taste of what the common voters usually undergo. The CEC"s name was registered at the polling booth number 85 of the Nirman Bhavan polling centre, but when he went to cast his vote on Thursday, May 7 he found his name deleted.
The polling officer in-charge of the booth informed Chawla that his name was deleted from the list for booth number 85, as he had changed his residence after taking over as the CEC in Apr. However Chawla later got his name added to the booth that's meant for the residents of the area where he currently stays and then voted.
