Five killed, 25 injured in Peshawar suicide attack

Peshawar May 5 (ANI): At least five persons were killed in a suicide attack on a Frontier Corps convoy here on Tuesday.

The attack took place near the Bara Qadim police checkpost situated on the border between Peshawar and the Khyber Agency, the Dawn reports.

Twenty five persons, including nine security personnel were also injured.

According to the police, the suicide attacker rammed his heavily ammunition loaded vehicle into another vehicle of the convoy of the paramilitary forces resulting in a huge blast near the checkpost.

The injured have been admitted to the Lady Reading Hospital.

Initial investigations reveal that the car was laden with 200 kilograms of explosives. (ANI)
