Three of five French voters unhappy with President Sarkozy's performance

Paris, May 4 (ANI): Nearly two-thirds of French voters are disappointed by President Nicolas Sarkozy's performance since his election two years ago, according to a new poll. According to a Metro newspaper commissioned survey, 65 per cent of the respondents said they were disappointed with Sarkozy's performance, 24 per cent said they were satisfied and 11 per cent said they had no opinion.

Sixty-three per cent viewed Sarkozy's overall record in office as negative while just 28 per cent regarded his record as positive.The figures roughly correspond to those garnered by Sarkozy's predecessor Jacques Chirac at the same stage in his mandate, The Telegraph reports. (ANI)
