Rahul accuses Communists of ignoring the poor
Domkal, May 2: On his second visit to West Bengal, Rahul Gandhi philippic against the Communist Party-Marxist (CPM) by accusing them of forgetting the poor, backward classes and the minorities in the state.
I am shocked. What kind of a communist government is this which forgets the poor, backward and minorities?" Rahul Gandhi said in an election rally.
Saying that it was his second visit to the state, he said that in the first visit he expected to see the poor being taken care of by the Communists, but instead on seeing so job situation he said that he was surprised.
The National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme which was praised by the Communist party in Delhi was not implemented in West Bengal.
Taking a dig at BJP-led NDA, he said "They have divided the country in two, with one part shining and the other consisting of the poor."
