Kalyan is convict in Babri Masjid Demolition: Lalu
New Delhi, May 2: Lalu Prasad Yadav slammed former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh by calling him a 'convict' in the Babri Masjid Case.
When asked about the former UP CM's call to Muslims to defeat the BJP, "He (Kalyan) is a convict in the demolition of the Babri Masjid. He is not a member of the SP. Is he a member of SP?" the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief, Lalu said.
Earlier, Kalyan Singh quit Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to join hands with the Samajwadi Party (SP). He is now contesting as an Independent from Etah.
Lalu also expressed confidence over United Progressive Alliance (UPA) coming to power.
