Court rejects Kasav's plea for access to X-rays

Mumbai, May 2: A special court rejected the plea of the prime accused in the Mumbai Terror Attacks, Azam Amir Kasav for the access to the X-ray plates of his dental and bone tests in order to seek medical opinion regarding his age.

As per the X-ray plates pertaining to ossification and dental tests of Kasav produced by the prosecution showed that he was a major stating that he was above 20 years.

Rejecting the plea, Judge M L Tahiliyani said that the Kasav's lawyer, Abbas Kazmi was given the option to bring an expert to examine the X-ray plates but he did not opt for it.

Kazmi who pleaded that the Supreme Court to allow the examination, the prosecution Ujjwal Nikam objected stating that it can not be allowed now and alleged the accused of trying to delay trial.
