London, Apr 30: Many events may face the threat of the Swine Flu as the restrictions wreck Britain's summer line-up, including the FA Cup Final, Glastonbury Festival and stadium concerts of bands such as Oasis, U2 and Take That.

With the increase in the number of flu cases and the death of a baby girl in Texas, America the World Health Organization has moved the crisis from a stage four to a stage five - just one short of a full-blown global pandemic.

If it does reach stage six, it is likely emergency policies would kick in to put certain areas under quarantine, impose travel restrictions, close schools and ban public meetings.

It also emerged last night that an effective vaccine for the illness may not be available for four to five months as scientists rush to find a cure for the unusual strain.

As the people look towards their leaders for an answer, the government is indulging in campaigns to create awareness about the pandemic.
