Congress, BJP workers clash in Bhind District
Bhind (Madhya Pradesh), Apr.30 (ANI): Activists of the Congress and BJP clashed outside a polling booth in Chandrapura in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind District on Thursday, even as the state went to polls in the third phase of general elections.
Witnesses and officials said that there were incidents of firing between the two rival factions. They confirmed that several electronic voting machines had also been damaged during the incident.
Commenting on the incident, BJP leader Ravishankar Prasad said that it was a one-off incident and added that polling in the state was by and large peaceful. (ANI)
