Ex-student opens fire at Hampton University

Hampton (Virginia), Apr 27: A former student of Hampton University entered the students dormitory (freshman dormitory) Harkness Hall and allegedly fired at the pizza delivery man and the dorm night manager and then turned the gun on himself on Sunday, Apr 26.

The two victims and the shooter survived and are recovering. The University is shut till the investigation is over. Hampton President William R Harvey said, "I think we are very, very fortunate. This could have been another -- you fill in the blank."

Police said that the motive behind the shooting is not known.
