Govt. allows armed security officer for CEC during air travel
New Delhi, April 26 (ANI): The Centre, in a special order, has allowed an armed personal security officer of the new Chief Election Commissioner Navin Chawla to accompany him in any civilian flight.
According to official sources, the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued an order in this regard recently.
Navin Chawla currently enjoys 'Z' category security. No reason was mentioned for the decision where an armed security officer will be among the passengers.
